We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Birth Certificate Representative to join our team at RWJBarnabas Health. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of birth certificate data, while providing exceptional customer service to our patients and families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collect and accurately enter birth certificate data into the NJDOHSS EBC software program
  • Act as the liaison between our hospital and the NJDOHSS Bureau of Vital Statistics and City of Long Branch Vital Statistics representatives
  • Prepare and maintain reports and logs to verify submissions and ensure data transmission to the State
  • Assist parents in completing required forms and accurately entering data into the EBC program
  • Coordinate certification of birth by physician or mid-level practitioners and print and review birth certificates with parents
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma
  • Computer skills
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office and Excel software programs
  • Medical terminology knowledge
  • Healthcare clerical support experience (1-3 years)
