Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Emergency Room (ER) Charge Registered Nurse to join our team. This role is essential in overseeing the nursing operations within the emergency department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • The Charge RN is accountable for the professional nursing practice, ensuring effective management of both patients and nursing staff in the designated area.
  • Oversees patient flow, optimizes resource utilization, and manages operational tasks efficiently.
  • Collaborates with management to develop and update departmental policies and procedures.
  • Acts as the primary contact for patients, healthcare providers, and staff, ensuring clear communication and support.
  • Complies with all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations to maintain patient safety and quality care.
Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:
  • An Associate's Degree or Nursing Diploma.
  • At least one year of experience in a Charge Nurse role within a hospital environment or equivalent clinical/management experience.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Valid nursing license in the state of practice or compact license (to be obtained within 90 days of hire).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
  • National Certification in a clinical specialty area.
