Epic Travel Staffing is actively seeking a travel nurse RN specializing in the Emergency Department for an exciting travel nursing opportunity.

We are looking for a dedicated Travel RN for the Emergency Department, working 12-hour night shifts with a schedule of 7 PM to 7:30 AM.
Length of Assignment: 13 weeks
Weekend shifts will be scheduled as necessary, with weekend days defined as Saturday and Sunday, and weekend nights as Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Requirements:

  • Valid nursing license in the state of New Mexico
  • Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required; candidates with 1.5 years may be considered
  • Certifications: BLS, NIH, PALS, ACLS, TNCC
  • Preferred experience in Level 1 trauma centers
  • Experience in teaching hospitals is a plus
  • Familiarity with electronic documentation is advantageous
  • Previous charge nurse experience is preferred
  • Travel experience is strongly preferred; however, candidates with 2+ years of Level 1 experience may be considered
Additional Information:
  • Patient Ratios: 1:5
  • Charting System: Cerner
  • Floating to Pediatric ED is optional; floating to Adult PCUs is expected based on staffing needs. Potential floating to ED Holding and Trauma may occur as well.
  • First-time travelers are welcome, but travel experience is strongly preferred; candidates with 2+ years of Level 1 experience may be considered.
  • The Emergency Department has a high admission rate, with many rooms designated for "ED Holding".
  • Medication administration responsibilities include IV medications, adhering to the seven medication rights, and documenting clinical findings.
  • COVID vaccination is required; exemptions for religious and medical reasons are accepted with proper documentation.
  • No local candidates within a 75-mile radius will be considered.

Please note that all pay rates are estimates and based on qualifications and experience. The pay package is designed for 12-hour shifts and 48 hours per week, subject to confirmation.
