Housing Stability Navigator Job Description

At Community Action Partnership of Western Nebraska, we are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to fill the role of Housing Stability Navigator. This position plays a critical role in our organization's mission to provide support and resources to individuals and families in need of affordable housing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Locate and secure safe and affordable housing for clients, utilizing the Housing First Model of Care.
  • Assess client needs and develop personalized plans to achieve housing stability.
  • Collaborate with community resources and service providers to ensure comprehensive support.
  • Provide education and advocacy to clients on tenant rights and responsibilities.
  • Conduct home visits and provide support to clients in their homes.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, including data entry and statistical analysis.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Two years of experience in a related field, preferably in social services or housing support.
  • Knowledge of the Housing First approach and fair housing laws.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Working Conditions:

  • Office setting with occasional off-site visits and travel.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and move quickly if necessary.
