We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Floor Maintenance Technician to join our team at Seminole Gaming. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and attractiveness of our public and employee areas.
Key Responsibilities- Operate various types of cleaning equipment, including scrubbers, burnishing machines, carpet extractors, and vacuum cleaners, to maintain clean and attractive floors.
- Handle floor care, stripping and waxing, carpet cleaning and shampooing, marble cleaning and polishing, and upholstery cleaning.
- Prioritize and coordinate with other workers to complete floor care work within the scope of multi-trade projects.
- Assist in the training of new employees in proper floor care methods and procedures.
- Tag equipment for repairs and advise supervisors.
- Maintain and clean equipment.
- Perform Floor Attendant duties as needed.
- Follow all safety requirements and procedures for the position.
- High school diploma or GED, or equivalent.
- Previous cleaning experience and knowledge of cleaning equipment and chemicals.
- Experience in deep cleaning upholstery, carpet care, and waxing floors.
- Experience using professional commercial pressure washing equipment.
- Outstanding guest service skills.
- Detail-oriented.
- High standards of cleanliness.
- Ability to conduct oneself in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations and Seminole Tribe of Florida and departmental policies and procedures.
While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to stand, walk, and demonstrate high-mobility for a majority of the shift. The team member will also regularly:
- Speak and listen to internal and external customer directions or orders in an atmosphere of varying background noise.
- Transit across surfaces that may alternate between carpeted and hard surfaces.
- Walk through slippery surfaces and/or sloping floors or stairs.
- Use hands to finger, handle, or feel small objects such as paper or cloth.
- Reach with hands and arms overhead and from side to side.
The position requires bending, lifting, and carrying supplies and equipment up to 20 pounds, and will be required to use, push, and pull wheeled hand-carts or other equipment weighing in excess of 100 pounds. The team member will regularly bend, stoop, kneel, and twist at the waist. May occasionally be exposed to bodily fluids, pet or service animals, and strong odors. Will regularly be exposed to tobacco and other second-hand smoke. May occasionally use de-escalation techniques to resolve customer conflict. Will be required to assist in customer evacuation in case of emergency.
