Position Summary

French & Parrello is actively seeking a full-time Civil Engineering Project Specialist. The ideal candidate will possess extensive, hands-on experience in the field.

Key Responsibilities

  • Site Planning and Design: Work with project teams to create site plans, grading and drainage designs, utility layouts, and erosion control plans for various developments.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all designs comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including zoning codes and environmental requirements.
  • Feasibility Studies: Conduct assessments to evaluate land suitability for development and identify potential challenges.
  • Cost Estimation: Develop accurate cost estimates and budgets for site development projects, factoring in materials, labor, and equipment.
  • Client Communication: Maintain ongoing communication with clients to understand project objectives, provide updates, and address inquiries.
  • Project Management: Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion within budget and quality standards.
  • Construction Support: Offer on-site assistance during construction phases, resolving design-related issues and ensuring compliance with approved plans.
  • Environmental Sustainability: Incorporate sustainable practices into site design, including stormwater management and green infrastructure.
  • Team Collaboration: Partner with architects, structural engineers, and other professionals to deliver integrated design solutions.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in civil engineering.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related discipline; Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in civil engineering, with a proven history of successful project execution.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant software tools.
  • Strong understanding of local building codes and permitting processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
