Assistant Athletic Trainer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Athletic Trainer to join our team at Goucher College in Maryland. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing athletic training services, evaluating and managing injuries, and developing and implementing sports medicine programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive sports medicine program for the college, including injury prevention, evaluation, and management.
- Provide athletic training services, including attendance at team practices and competitions.
- Work with the team and supervising physician to review pre-participation physical examinations and coordinate medical referrals.
- Collaborate with strength and conditioning, coaching, and school staff to ensure safety in the design and implementation of fitness and nutrition programs.
- Evaluate and recommend new techniques, policies, and equipment to enhance the sports medicine program.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation, including daily patient encounters.
Requirements:
- BOC Certified Athletic Trainer, MD Certification required.
- Masters Degree preferred, but not required.
- Current CPR/AED certification.
Working Conditions:
This is a contract position with a variable schedule, including evenings and weekends. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
Compensation:
The starting hourly rate is $50, with opportunities for advancement and professional development.
