The primary objective of this role is to assist First Commerce in achieving our vision of empowering generations, transforming communities through outstanding member service as outlined by our service standards. You will play a crucial role in establishing and nurturing strong member relationships by identifying their financial needs and effectively recommending suitable products and services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Address member inquiries related to various services including digital banking, payment processing, and account management.
  • Accurately execute routine financial transactions such as transfers, loan payments, and account maintenance in accordance with established protocols.
  • Recognize opportunities for cross-selling credit union products and services, including the opening of new accounts.
  • Communicate professionally with members through various channels, ensuring a prompt response.
  • Perform daily transaction balancing to maintain accuracy.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Conduct job functions in compliance with policies set forth by the Board of Directors and regulatory bodies.
  • Adhere to compliance requirements including monitoring for regulatory adherence.
  • Actively support First Commerce's Vision, Mission, Core Values, and Service Standards in all interactions.
  • Attend required meetings and adhere to the established dress code and workplace policies.
  • Complete other assigned tasks as necessary.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in a call center, teller position, or similar role within a financial institution, demonstrating strong sales and service skills.
  • A genuine commitment to serving members primarily through phone and email communication.
  • A proactive individual capable of managing a high volume of incoming calls.
  • Excellent listening skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficient computer skills and comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Demonstrated capacity to learn a wide range of information quickly and independently.
  • Exhibits patience and a consistently positive demeanor when addressing challenging member interactions.
  • Enjoys working in a support role with limited face-to-face member engagement.
