The primary objective of this role is to support First Commerce in achieving our vision of empowering generations, transforming communities through outstanding member service as outlined by our service standards. You will play a crucial role in establishing and nurturing strong member relationships by identifying their financial needs and effectively recommending suitable products and services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Address member inquiries regarding various services including digital banking, account management, and financial transactions.
  • Process routine financial transactions accurately, including transfers, payments, and account maintenance in line with established policies.
  • Recognize opportunities to fulfill member needs through cross-selling credit union products and services.
  • Communicate professionally with members through various channels, ensuring timely responses.
  • Maintain accurate transaction records on a daily basis.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Perform job functions in compliance with policies set by the Board of Directors and regulations from relevant authorities.
  • Adhere to regulatory requirements and ensure compliance with necessary checks for new relationships.
  • Actively support First Commerce's Vision, Mission, Core Values, and Service Standards in all interactions.
  • Attend required meetings and adhere to company policies, including dress code and conduct standards.
  • Carry out other assigned duties as necessary.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a call center, teller position, or related financial services role with proven sales and service skills.
  • A genuine commitment to serving members primarily through phone and email.
  • Ability to handle a high volume of incoming calls with enthusiasm.
  • Strong listening skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficient in computer skills and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to manage confidential information responsibly.
  • Demonstrated capacity to learn quickly and independently.
  • Exhibit patience and maintain a positive demeanor when addressing challenging member interactions.
  • Enjoy working in a supportive role with limited physical interaction with members.
