We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) team at West Penn Hospital, part of the Allegheny Health Network.
About the Role:The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to critically ill newborns and their families. This includes assessing patient needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:- Provide direct patient care to critically ill newborns and their families
- Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety
- Supervise and delegate tasks to LPNs and support staff as needed
- Current State of PA RN licensure or current multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC)
- CPR certification
- Act 34, Act 33, and Act 73 clearances
- 1+ years of Neonatal ICU nursing experience preferred
