Job Title: Lead Cable Technician

Position Summary:
NSC Technologies is seeking an experienced Structured Cable Technician to provide assistance with the installation, termination, and testing of various types of voice and data cables as well as security/access control equipment. MUST be comfortable working from a ladder/ lift.

Starting pay for this role is $23-26/HR

Job Responsibilities:

  • Pulling and routing CAT5 or CAT6 cable in a new construction and existing structure commercial environment
  • Terminating data jacks/head ends
  • Installing support structures (ladders, racks, j-hooks)
  • Working in ISP and OSP environments
  • Pulling, routing, installing and terminating structured cabling infrastructure in a commercial environment.

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • 3+ years??? experience installing and servicing voice and data systems in a commercial environment.
  • Prior lead experience with a crew or scheduling meetings with customers
  • Ownership of basic telecom tools: Punch down, snips, wire strippers, cordless drill, Hard Hat, Boots, Safety Glasses, etc.
  • Familiarity with BICSI, EIA, TIA or NEC Standards.
