About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Studio Coordinator to join our team at Universal Music Group. As a Studio Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our recording studios, providing exceptional client service, and supporting the production process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Studio Set Up and Maintenance
    • Ensure the studio is presentable and well-maintained at all times
    • Organize studio repairs and develop long-term solutions to everyday studio problems
    • Perform runner duties, including client support tasks
    • Prepare for recording sessions by setting up microphones, loading and lifting heavy equipment, and breaking down the studio after sessions
    • Responsible for stocking recording supplies in control rooms
  • Department Service
    • Interface with building facilities regarding assets that come into or leave the building
    • Responsible for cleanliness and organization of control rooms, break rooms, closets, and bathrooms
  • Client and Customer Service
    • Follow through on all client requests
    • Assist guests and clients as needed, including assistance with parking and escorting through the building
    • Maintain service integrity and price efficiency with the entire team
    • Ensure all departments have proper stock levels of office and administrative supplies
    • Assist the Studio Coordinator in critical day-to-day administrative office functions and in planning and execution of daily workflow
    • Assist departments with follow-up of equipment rentals
    Requirements
    • Demonstrates ability to operate in a fast-paced environment, responding to issues promptly
    • Familiarity with modern recording techniques and associated technologies
    • A successful candidate will be service and detail-oriented, self-motivated, punctual, dependable, willing to learn, sensitive, and confidential with high-profile clients
    • Candidate must be proactive, with exceptional organization and time management skills
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate effectively to all levels of employees and management
    • Positive attitude and team player
    • High attention to detail and accustomed to meeting tight deadlines
    • Flexibility and improvisation skills
    • Ability to work flexible work schedules, including night shifts and occasional overnights
    Preferred Qualifications
    • 1-3 years of experience in production or recording studio environment
    • General working knowledge of the current music industry
    • Proficiency in ProTools a plus
    • Dedicated to professionalism in the creative workspace
    • Bachelor's Degree or Associates Degree in Music Production or Audio Post Production or equivalent work experience in a Production/Studio environment
