Facilities Systems Lead

The Facilities Systems Lead will ensure the reliability of these systems, support preventive maintenance initiatives, and cultivate the skills of the Facilities Technician team. Furthermore, this position will be responsible for ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and maintaining relationships with relevant agencies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Guarantee the reliability of plant utilities and shared services
  • Maintain essential permits and foster relationships with regulatory bodies and utility providers
  • Engage in daily reliability discussions and relay issues along with action plans
  • Mentor team members to develop multi-craft technician skills
  • Take ownership of utility cost outcomes and enhancement strategies
  • Oversee maintenance resources and contractors for plant utilities
  • Lead the Progressive Maintenance pillar team focused on facilities
  • Formulate maintenance and spare parts strategies
  • Supervise the wastewater treatment facility
  • Provide leadership and support for facility-related projects
  • Promote sustainability initiatives, including landfill diversion, water conservation, and greenhouse gas reduction
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities systems
  • Experience in environmental management practices
  • Proficiency in HVAC systems, particularly large chilled water systems
  • Understanding of water chemical treatment and predictive maintenance technologies
  • Technical expertise in various systems, including boilers, compressors, HVAC, and electrical distribution
