About the Opportunity

GK Management Co., Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Maintenance Technician III to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the highest standards of maintenance and repairs in our multifamily properties.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Maintenance Manager in maintaining the overall appearance and maintenance needs of our communities. This includes coordinating make-readies and move-in schedules, performing general maintenance repairs, conducting preventative maintenance, and overseeing construction/rehabilitation needs.

This role requires strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years' experience in maintenance or a related industry, with previous multifamily property experience being highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with daily activities of the property's maintenance team and apply GK policies and procedures to all maintenance operations.
  • Ensure all work is completed according to GK standards and collaborate with the Maintenance Manager to coordinate the move-in schedule.
  • Manage open service requests through Onesite and complete work orders within 24-48 hours.
  • Communicate with the Maintenance Manager regarding the status of work and any potential issues.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service to all residents and maintain a clean and attractive environment around the leasing office, clubhouse, pool, laundry rooms, mailrooms, and common areas.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years' experience in maintenance or a related industry.
  • Previous multifamily property experience highly preferred.
  • Ability to work under pressure, organize and prioritize responsibilities.
  • Customer service orientation with the ability to work with residents, vendors, management, and co-workers.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Knowledge of Fair Housing and OSHA.

Salary Range: $23 - $26 hourly (DOE)
