Job Title: Fitness Club Manager

At Taymax Group, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Fitness Club Manager to lead our team and drive business success. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our fitness club, ensuring exceptional member experiences, and driving revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team of staff members, including Assistant Managers, Member Service Representatives, Trainers, and Custodians.
  • Create and maintain a welcoming atmosphere for all members, prospective members, and guests, ensuring staff follows superior customer service guidelines.
  • Lead by example, maintaining consistent accountability for direct reports, training, and coaching, ensuring adherence to PF's values and goals.
  • Manage staff scheduling, payroll, and employee relations, resolving issues and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Oversee facility cleanliness and maintenance, ensuring the front desk area and lobby are clean and orderly, and participating in regular facility cleaning and club upkeep.
  • Manage marketing efforts, ensuring staff is aware and trained on all marketing promotions, and authorizing expenditures and refunds as needed.
  • Prepare HR-related forms and send to Corporate HR and Payroll Team, tracking statistics and reports, and providing backup support for absent employees.
Requirements:
  • Must be 18 years of age or older, have a high school diploma/GED equivalent, and a passion for fitness and health.
  • One to three years of experience in a management role, preferably in the fitness or similar industry.
  • Computer proficiency (Microsoft Suite) and the ability to learn systems quickly.
  • Strong leadership, team building, and coaching skills, with exceptional customer service and conflict resolution skills.
  • A hard-working, enthusiastic, and energetic management style, with organization, problem-solving, and planning skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, with a valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, and own reliable means of transportation.
Physical Demands:
  • Continual standing and walking.
  • Continual talking and listening in person or on the phone.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, as well as bend, crouch, and reach on a daily basis.
  • Will occasionally encounter toxic chemicals.
