About the Role

**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Architect to join our team at Avance Consulting. As a key member of our Information / Data Architecture Practice, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing data models to support major initiatives in Marketing, Sales, and Service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, enterprise architects, and product teams to gather business requirements and identify pain points.
  • Create information strategy and solutions to address gaps in data architecture.
  • Develop information architecture roadmaps with a now, near, and far view.
  • Facilitate discussions to understand data sources, establish systems of record, and create current and future state data flows.
  • Lead design discussions, create conceptual data models, logical data models, and data dictionaries.
  • Manage and maintain data models in Power Designer repositories.
  • Define reporting strategies and identify sources for reporting data.
  • Perform data quality analysis, identify issues, and propose solutions to resolve them.
  • Guide product teams to create physical data model designs and data dictionaries.
  • Review design adherence and ensure standards, guidelines, and best practices are followed.
  • Consult and guide product teams through design and implementation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or equivalent degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in data modeling with expertise in relational and/or dimensional analysis.
  • 5+ years of experience in data warehouse database design.
  • Deep understanding of data modeling principles and architecture concepts.
  • Extensive experience designing databases supporting complex business processes.
  • Experience in supporting database technologies, including Oracle, DB2, Teradata, Hadoop, MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and Big Query.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP Sybase Power Designer / ERWIN tool is ideal.
  • Knowledge of data analytics and Google Cloud Technologies.
  • Experience in implementing MDM solutions.
  • Nice to have Salesforce and CRM experience.
  • Ability to facilitate and lead design discussions, coordinate with multiple teams, and drive architecture decisions.
  • Must be capable of successfully supporting multiple initiatives concurrently.
  • Capable of working well individually and as a team member.
  • Ability to listen and communicate effectively.
