Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Ascension Seton. As a Mammographer Technologist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality mammography imaging services to our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Operate mammography equipment and perform various procedures to produce high-quality images.
  • Prepare and position patients for imaging, ensuring accurate anatomic and technical parameters.
  • Explain procedures and educate patients about the importance of regular mammography in preventive breast health.
  • Develop and evaluate images for technical quality, following radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Ensure prompt submission of high-quality images and documents to PACS.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly department, including procedure rooms, storage areas, and dressing rooms.
Requirements
  • BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date.
  • Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) prior to hire date.
  • Completion of a 40-hour mammography training course within 3 months of hire and 25 supervised mammography studies to meet Texas Department of State Health Services (TDSHS) requirements.
  • Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the Texas Medical Radiologic Technologist Certification Program prior to hire date.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Mammography.
