The University of Pittsburgh is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Research Nurse Coordinator to support clinical research projects by coordinating projects and drug trials, assessing patients' qualifications, and facilitating protocols.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate clinical research projects and drug trials, assessing patients for qualification/enrollment in research projects and subject groups.
- Implement research protocols, monitor patient assessments, and collect and review lab results.
- Collect patient data, including medical histories and physical assessments, and maintain and enter data into databases/logs in a timely and accurate manner.
- Perform general laboratory duties, including monitoring supply inventory, monitoring temperatures of freezers and refrigerators, cleaning equipment, and disposing of biological waste.
- Administer treatment and/or medication in accordance with research protocol, collect, prepare, and process lab specimens, and ensure all protocol and regulatory standards adherence.
- Participate in the development of internal review board submissions as requested, collaborate with multiple investigators, sponsors, and research coordinators, and assist with training of new staff and ongoing guidance of newer staff.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree.
- 2 years of experience in clinical research or a related field.
- Combination of education and relevant experience will be considered in lieu of education and/or experience requirement.
