Position Summary:

The Learning Support Specialist collaborates with the Learning Development team to enhance existing training and certification initiatives. This role encompasses a range of responsibilities, including eLearning storyboard review, quality assurance testing, remote exam supervision, learner assistance, Learning Management System (LMS) administration, and weekly progress reporting to stakeholders. Additional duties involve creating marketing materials for programs, coordinating events with educational institutions, and managing all internal and external communications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the initiation and execution of training programs at educational institutions.
  • Maintain eLearning template files to optimize development efficiency.
  • Track and communicate all training requests.
  • Oversee all email communications for the Training Department.
  • Support users of LMS portals.
  • Conduct quality assurance testing on eLearning content and edit storyboards as necessary.
  • Compile and distribute weekly training progress reports to stakeholders.
  • Help prepare materials and manage communications for training events.
  • Organize and deliver in-person training sessions and events.
  • Design and issue certificates of completion for training programs.
  • Facilitate remote training sessions via webinars.
  • Assist in annual workshops for external training teams.
  • Participate in internal and external training events.
  • Create and maintain an organized filing system for all eLearning training assets.
  • Order and manage training-related materials.

Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Meticulous attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and efficiency in training development support.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey procedures and ideas effectively.
  • Enthusiastic about technology and eager to grow within the Learning and Development field.
  • Self-motivated with the capability to identify and address efficiency gaps.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Experience in LMS administration is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and technical communication abilities are preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere) is preferred.

Education and Training:

A Bachelor's Degree in Education or Technical Communications from an accredited institution is preferred.
