Job Summary

Serve as a brand ambassador, providing exceptional customer service while delivering customer orders to their homes. Drive a company delivery vehicle, demonstrating safe and efficient driving behavior, and adhering to Kroger's driving standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver customer orders in a timely and professional manner, ensuring a high degree of customer satisfaction.
  • Act as a brand ambassador, discussing Kroger's Seamless Experience and delivery process with customers.
  • Ensure a high level of professionalism and personal presentation when interacting with customers.
  • Drive a company vehicle safely and in accordance with Kroger's driving standards.
  • Resolve any issues that may occur during delivery, maintaining customer communication and adhering to Kroger's delivery standards.
  • Control and maintain accurate records of customer deliveries.
  • Assist fellow drivers who may encounter difficulties while delivering.
  • Ensure that goods are kept within the correct temperature guidelines, monitoring and recording temperatures to follow food health and safety regulations.
  • Handle products safely and in accordance with food safety guidelines, recording any serious breakages or contamination issues and reporting to supervisor.
  • Complete pre-inspections checks of company vehicles before use and report any defects to supervisor.
  • Operate company-provided technology devices for mapping and customer interaction.

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Good driving record.
  • Ability to operate a delivery van and handheld tablet device.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Annual DOT-regulated medical exam.
