Job Summary:

The Tiger Team Technician I is a critical role within RWE Clean Energy, LLC, responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of regional wind farms. This position requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work safely in extreme environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on wind turbines, including generator bearing exchange, up-tower gearbox repairs, and pitch ram exchange.
  • Conduct troubleshooting and diagnostic tests to identify and resolve technical issues.
  • Provide technical guidance to the operations and maintenance team, ensuring that all activities are performed in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Maintain accurate records of service activities, including maintenance schedules, repair histories, and performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of maintenance and repair activities.
  • Participate in safety exercises and training programs to maintain a high level of safety awareness and compliance.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; degree in a technical field (e.g., engineering, physics, power systems) preferred.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in wind energy, solar, or battery energy storage; Global Wind Organization Certificate preferred.
  • Unrestricted driver's license in good standing; ability to push/pull/lift tools and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work safely in extreme environments, including hot and cold temperatures, and ability to walk, climb, and stand extensively during the workday.
  • Strong technical skills and knowledge of hand and power tools; ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to manage customer relationships and respond to direction.
