Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Receiving Gate Clerk to control inbound and outbound trailer movements to and from the customer's dedicated drop lots. The ideal candidate will coordinate special needs with customer supervision, management, and contract drop lot coordinators, ensuring seamless operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Control inbound and outbound trailer movement to and from the customer's drop lot locations.
  • Coordinate special needs with customer supervision, management, and contract drop lot coordinators.
  • Interact with drivers entering and leaving the facility, ensuring all check-in/out and security procedures are followed.
  • Assign drop/pickup locations via information in the customer system.
  • Verify inbound shipments by type, assign locations, and record all applicable data into the customer's computer system.
  • Verify outbound shipments with drivers exiting the facility, matching paperwork to driver, tractor, and trailer number to proper destination through pick-up number verification in the customer's system.
  • Update the customer computer system for all pick-ups and deliveries.
  • Manually maintain a daily record of all inbound and outbound tractors, trailers, pick-ups, and deliveries for system failure backup.
  • Record and maintain a daily physical yard check of all trailers stored at the customer drop lot locations.
