Pet Care Specialist

Requirements
- Ability to work successfully within a team, demonstrating a professional appearance and demeanor.
- Demonstrate a keen and genuine interest in animals and their care.
- Good interpersonal and verbal communication skills, necessary for interacting with the public and other partners and leaders within the store.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in sales, retail, or a related field.
- High level of knowledge of pet nutrition and aptitude for sales techniques.
Work Environment
The majority of job duties are conducted indoors, although merchandise receiving, merchandise carry-outs, or stock balancing will require leaving the store briefly. This position requires bending, kneeling, moving merchandise, and standing for long periods of time. Must be able to lift 50 lbs and pull 2000 lbs utilizing material handling equipment. Improper use of safety equipment and/or not following proper lifting techniques may pose a risk of injury to customers, pets, and Petco personnel. Follow all safety precautions and procedures. Must be available for shifts on evenings, weekends, and some overnights and holidays.
