Position Overview:

The Mechanical Assembly Technician plays a crucial role in the repair and documentation of materials within a regulated aviation environment.

Shift Details:
This position operates on a 2nd shift schedule, typically from Monday to Friday, with hours from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM. A sign-on bonus is included for new hires.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct testing and calibration of components, including soldering and brazing tasks.
  • Utilize hand and machine tools effectively and safely.
  • Employ electrical and mechanical measuring instruments accurately.
  • Follow detailed procedures and work instructions to assemble and repair components that adhere to quality standards.
  • Organize and prioritize tasks to align with production timelines.
  • Collaborate effectively within a team setting.
  • Develop necessary skills and certifications as required for the role.
  • Request tools and materials in accordance with established documentation protocols.
  • Adhere to safety standards and hazardous waste disposal regulations.
  • Engage in initiatives aimed at cost and scrap reduction, as well as process improvements.
  • Achieve certification for special processes where applicable.
  • Interpret and comprehend repair documentation accurately.
Safety Considerations:
This role is classified as safety-sensitive in accordance with aviation regulations, and candidates will undergo drug and alcohol testing as mandated.

Required Qualifications:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is typically required; alternatively, two years of relevant experience may substitute for formal education.
  • Must be a U.S. Person as defined by regulatory standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in soldering and brazing is advantageous.
  • Prior experience in manufacturing or assembly environments is preferred.
Work Environment:
