Job Title: Network Operations Specialist

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Network Operations Specialist to support a network operations program for MARFORRES (Marine Corp Reserves) intranet in New Orleans, LA.

The ideal candidate will have a dynamic skill set in network operations and end-user support for more than 400,000 hardware devices and 800,000 users in the U.S. and abroad.

Responsibilities:
  • Monitor the infrastructure and network by responding appropriately to alerts and events
  • Respond to incidents from triage through resolution, including escalations, where appropriate
  • Respond to infrastructure repairs, including directing remote activities to maintain operational effectiveness for services
  • Provide root cause analysis documentation in accordance with Government procedures
  • Provide data center support where appropriate
  • Document daily shift activities in appropriate reporting and ticketing tools and ensure proper pass down of any outstanding issues
  • Provide incident notification to Government representatives
Qualifications:
  • Secret clearance required
  • 5+ years of IT experience
  • Experience monitoring, maintaining, administering, configuring, and/or troubleshooting Network Devices (Routers, Switches, Firewalls)
  • Troubleshooting outages, configuration upgrades, and monitoring and reporting outages on classified and unclassified networks
  • Network performance monitoring, network security monitoring
  • IAT II certification required (CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+CE, CND, CAP, CASP+, CISM)
  • CCNA Security required (3-6 month waiver period)
Compensation:

Total compensation based on experience level – $60,000 - $80,000+
