The Human Resources Specialist will engage in HR-related activities at a professional level, collaborating across departments with Managers and Supervisors to support staff, particularly focusing on Recruitment and Talent Acquisition. This role will contribute to strategic goals across various functional areas, including Talent Acquisition, College Recruitment, Employee Onboarding and Orientation, Employee Engagement, Safety, Compliance, and other special projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the formulation, establishment, and execution of departmental goals and systems that directly influence HR Talent Acquisition strategies.
  • Support initiatives related to talent acquisition and candidate experience; work alongside management on job descriptions, assess candidates, utilize available tools for recruiting qualified individuals, coordinate and conduct interviews, maintain precise records, and monitor recruiting activities.
  • Manage the complete recruitment cycle for a substantial requisition load, ensuring timely communication with all involved parties.
  • Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, coordinating activities to ensure a positive experience.
  • Ensure compliance with company and governmental documentation and processes.
  • Assist with the Summer Internship Program, which includes outreach to regional colleges and universities.
  • Promote and enhance efforts in fostering positive employee relations.
  • Help cultivate a site culture that reflects the company's commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, wellness, security, safety, and employee engagement.
  • Provide day-to-day HR support as required.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree is required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of HR experience, preferably in high-volume exempt recruiting with a focus on technical roles.
  • Familiarity with LinkedIn Recruiter and various ATS platforms, ideally with experience in implementing automation.

Skills:

  • Ability to manage multiple projects under pressure while maintaining organization and a process-oriented approach.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with a knack for innovative solutions.
  • Proficient in prioritizing and addressing critical issues promptly.
  • Effective interaction with all organizational levels.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • A customer-centric mindset with a strong sense of ownership.
