Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct analysis, design, and inspection of waterfront structures and other maritime projects.
- Perform structural analysis and design utilizing timber, steel, concrete, and composite materials.
- Engage in prestressed concrete analysis and design.
- Develop detailed plans, specifications, and inspection reports as necessary.
- Assist in resolving design challenges through field investigations, inspections, and detailed design work.
- Calculate construction quantity estimates accurately.
- Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, scientists, and project managers on multidisciplinary projects.
- Oversee construction administration tasks, including reviewing shop drawings and technical submissions.
- Conduct site inspections and prepare comprehensive inspection reports.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Structural Engineering; a Master's degree is preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
- 4 to 6 years of structural design experience in waterfront/marine structures or bridge design, particularly in seismically active regions.
- Experience with structural modeling, including nonlinear elements and soil-structure interaction, is preferred.
- Proficiency in software tools such as SAP2000 (required), AutoCAD (preferred), STAAD (preferred), LPile (preferred), and MicroStation (preferred).
- All new hires must successfully complete a pre-employment background check in compliance with NIST standards.
Compensation:
The base salary range for this position is $50.19 to $61.35 per hour, depending on experience, education, professional registration, and qualifications.
Physical Requirements:
This position is primarily office-based, but may require site visits that involve navigating unpaved or natural terrain while carrying equipment. Some travel may be necessary to collaborate with other offices or project sites.
