Job Summary

Csi Pharmacy is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, prepare and dispense medications, including sterile admixtures and prepackaged or unit dose drugs.
  • Perform designated tasks related to pharmacy quality control, management of pharmacy records, inventory control, and preparation of orders for drugs.
  • Organize and prioritize workload to ensure efficient completion of tasks.
  • Verify batch records and other pharmacy records against computer records.
  • Generate labels and package prepackaged and unit dose drugs according to dispensing orders.
  • Participate in monitoring and maintaining drug inventories and preparing orders for drugs and related supplies.
  • Answer phone calls and take messages as needed.
  • Participate in departmental quality assurance activities.
  • Attend scheduled departmental meetings.
  • Perform other tasks and duties as assigned.
  • Attend conventions, trade shows, and in-services related to IV therapy.
  • Represent the company in a professional manner at all times.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with all personnel.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Successful completion of an approved pharmacy technician training program desirable.
  • Minimum of one year's experience in aseptic preparation of large/small volume parenteral, parenteral nutrition, antibiotics, and chemotherapy.
  • Knowledge of basic drug terminology, pharmaceutical calculations, drug use, and aseptic technique.
  • Ability to work effectively with others.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in data entry and computer use.
  • Ability to plan and complete daily activities with minimal direction.
  • Dependable attendance and job performance.

Education and Experience

  • Pharmacy Technician License required.
  • Minimum two years of pharmacy experience preferred.
