Position Overview:

The Renewable Energy Asset Management Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing investments within a renewable energy development platform. This position is pivotal in managing the existing project portfolio while ensuring optimal performance and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and evaluate the operational and financial performance of renewable energy investments, including new development initiatives.
  • Facilitate communication and coordination with project partners and the global Asset Management Team regarding operational, financial, and legal matters.
  • Identify opportunities for enhancing investment value through improvements in commercial contracts.
  • Optimize existing assets and support the development and acquisition of new opportunities.
  • Manage daily interactions and activities with joint venture partners and renewable energy developers, ensuring adherence to budgetary compliance.
  • Assess financial and operational risks associated with power markets and contracts.
  • Assist in the development and negotiation of new business ventures and opportunities.
  • Stay informed on trends within the renewable energy sector and U.S. power markets.
  • Support routine and ad hoc financial reporting requests, providing insights and recommendations regarding subsidiary financial performance.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience in asset management of wind, solar, and/or battery storage projects.
  • Solid understanding of the deregulated U.S. power market fundamentals, including energy, capacity, and ancillary services.
  • Knowledge of finance, accounting, and tax functions within a corporate setting.
  • Experience in developing and monitoring budgets.
  • Familiarity with business operations principles.
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience, with at least 5 years in the power industry.
  • Preferable knowledge of U.S. power markets and electricity trading practices, including negotiating offtake agreements.
  • Understanding of financing, economic, and business concepts related to infrastructure and energy sectors.
  • Ability to identify potential risks quickly and think innovatively in dynamic environments.
  • Proficiency in Excel spreadsheet and modeling skills.
