Job Title: Direct Support Professional

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professional to join our Residential Services team at The Progress Center Inc. As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in providing support and care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in residential and community settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide person-centered support to individuals to promote independence and community participation.
  • Implement care plans and person-centered plans as determined by the team.
  • Support inclusion through participation in community activities, services, and events.
  • Assist with personal care as needed.
  • Follow recommendations from professional evaluations.
  • Fulfill all training requirements.
  • Attend agency meetings as directed by your supervisor.
  • Document and maintain all consumer records and services.
  • Comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Advocate on behalf of consumers at review meetings.
  • Promote a team-oriented environment and project a professional demeanor.

Requirements:

  • Pass a criminal background check.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Acceptable driving record.
  • Must be at least 17 years old.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Candidates must be able to work afternoons, evenings, and weekends.

Education:

  • Obtain DSP and CRMA certification within 6 months.
