Maintenance Manager Job Description

TE Connectivity is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Manager to join our team in Redwood City, CA. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement maintenance strategies to minimize downtime and maximize equipment efficiency.
  • Lead and manage a team of maintenance technicians to ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks.
  • Collaborate with production scheduling and value stream managers to ensure production equipment is properly maintained.
  • Develop and maintain a preventive maintenance program to ensure equipment is properly maintained.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Develop and implement a visual management system to inform production operators of upcoming maintenance tasks.
  • Report key performance metrics to management, including on-time completion of maintenance tasks and schedule adherence.
  • Develop and maintain a budget for maintenance supplies and equipment.
  • Collaborate with outside suppliers and equipment manufacturers to ensure technical support and training needs are met.
  • Lead and support all OSHA, PPE, plant safety systems and policies, including ISO and TS 16949 requirements and standards.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Technology, or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of progressive maintenance and leadership experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of database administration experience, preferably with a CMMS such as Maximo, MP2, Maintenance Connection, or eMaint.
  • Excellent technical writing skills.
  • Considerable knowledge of standards, methods, principles, practices, tools, and equipment used in maintenance trades.
  • Documented knowledge and experience relating to Electric motors, Controllers, Mechanical Systems, Pneumatic Systems, Hydraulic Systems, Vacuum Pumps, and other applicable plant equipment.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office tools, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Working knowledge of Six Sigma, 5S, and Lean Manufacturing tools (Green Belt Certification) is a strong plus.
  • Working knowledge of Mean Time to Failure and TPM programs preferred.
  • Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple changing priorities.
  • Proficient in the English language.

  • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $136,136-$204,204 (subject to change dependent on physical location).
