Position Overview: Outpatient Phlebotomy Technician - Float
The Outpatient Phlebotomy Technician - Float engages with patients and healthcare professionals to collect, transport, and process blood and other bodily fluids from a diverse patient demographic. This role includes performing EKG procedures in collaboration with the Cardiology Department. The technician will also take part in educational and training initiatives and may assist with routine administrative tasks as well as specialized technical functions.
*This position is a float role that will support various Outreach Lab locations.
Position Requirements
Educational Background
- Completion of an accredited training program that includes both theoretical and practical components in phlebotomy or equivalent education or experience.
- In-house training will be provided for EKG procedures.
Professional Experience
- Preferred: At least one year of experience in similar roles.
- Proficient typing skills are essential.
