Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily entry of cash receipts into the ERP system and collaborate with Sales Managers to manage accounts receivable aging.
  • Prepare monthly sales commissions calculation spreadsheets.
  • Assist with monthly bank reconciliation.
  • Support month/quarter/year-end close by performing journal entries and reconciliations, including Received Goods Not Invoiced.
  • Assist with inventory in-transit transactions/tasks.
  • Participate in a project to refresh our customer sales tax exemption certificate matrix.
  • Serve as a backup to the Accounts Payable Assistant.
  • Create and/or maintain manuals for all AP/AR tasks.
  • Assist with the company's annual business registration process for multiple states.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on the finance/accounting team and interact effectively with other employees.
  • Perform other related business administrative tasks (filing, shredding, etc.).
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential, with Microsoft Access knowledge being a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and related financial reporting regulations and standards is necessary.
  • A self-starter with a strong attention to detail is required.
