Position SummaryThe Equipment Maintenance Specialist at Domino's Pizza Supply Chain Center is responsible for the repair and installation of bakery machinery within a distribution manufacturing environment.
This role requires the application of technical expertise to design, assess, and troubleshoot PLC interfaces for diagnostics, perform preventive maintenance, and address issues with JLS delta-style robotics.
The Equipment Maintenance Specialist will leverage their knowledge in Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, and Computer Controls to execute their responsibilities effectively. Additionally, safety is paramount when working with mechanical and electrical systems.
Compensation: $40.00 per hour
Key Responsibilities(60%) Machinery Inspection and Repair
- Conduct inspections and tests to identify malfunctions in equipment.
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members to diagnose and resolve operational discrepancies.
- Install, repair, or replace electrical components such as transformers, relays, and circuit breakers.
- Assemble, install, and maintain piping systems along with hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
- Program and troubleshoot automated machinery and Programmable Logic Controllers.
- Service and repair HVAC systems and refrigeration units.
- Monitor the main electrical panel and perform troubleshooting as required.
- Maintain and repair boilers, water heaters, and all water distribution systems.
- Adhere to established preventive maintenance protocols.
- Document maintenance activities and report significant issues to management.
(10%) Building Maintenance
- Perform general maintenance and repairs on the physical structure of the facility.
- Conduct painting and minor structural repairs as needed.
(20%) Safety Compliance
- Identify and document safety concerns related to machinery; develop and implement action plans to address these issues.
- Ensure compliance with EPA, OSHA, and other regulatory standards; follow up to confirm resolution of any identified problems.
(10%) Additional Duties
- Assist in project scheduling and control.
- Manage inventory and order necessary parts.
- Monitor energy consumption and suggest improvements for efficiency.
- High School Diploma or equivalent, with technical training or a minimum of five years of relevant experience in a manufacturing or distribution setting.
- Preferred advanced knowledge in hydraulics, PLC logic, plumbing, welding, and HVAC/refrigeration.
- Proficient in Windows-based computer systems and spreadsheets.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematic diagrams.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Problem-solving skills with the ability to draw logical conclusions.
- Familiarity with 5S and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Capability to operate forklifts and manual/electrical pallet jacks safely.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure with minimal supervision.
- EPA Refrigeration Certification (Type II or Universal) is a federal requirement for handling refrigeration equipment.
