The Sonesta International Hotels team is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Hotel Cleaning Professional to join our Housekeeping Management Team. This role is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and organization of guest rooms, public spaces, and commercial laundry facilities, adhering to brand standards.

This position requires strong communication skills, with the ability to deliver exceptional customer service according to the Sonesta G.U.E.S.T. standards. The successful candidate will be proactive in addressing guest complaints and special requests, ensuring complete satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver on the promise of Sonesta Service by responding to guest needs and exceeding expectations.
  • Clean and service assigned rooms or areas according to established standards and procedures, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms, and removing trash.
  • Notify supervisor when service is completed so rooms may be sold or occupied, and report any unservicable rooms to the supervisor.
  • Monitor laundry supplies and equipment to ensure they are sufficient and in working order, operating washers and dryers according to hotel standards and manufacturers' guidelines.
  • Fold and store clean linens, reporting damages to the supervisor.
  • Minimize waste of supplies and amenities within all areas of housekeeping.
  • Assist with deep cleaning projects as required.
  • Report needed repairs or unsafe conditions to the supervisor.
  • Handle lost and found items according to established procedures.
  • Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other shifts and departmental management.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws regarding health and safety services.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess some previous housekeeping experience, preferably in the extended stay industry. Ability to speak, read, and write fluent English is preferred; other languages beneficial. Basic reading, writing, and mathematical abilities are also required.

Additional Information

This role offers a competitive salary range of $16.28-$17.28 per hour, depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
