Licensed Practical Nurse Specialist

About the Role:
This position involves delivering comprehensive nursing care to patients recovering from various conditions, including stroke, brain injury, and spinal cord injuries. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to each patient's unique needs. Your expertise in medication administration, patient assessment, and rehabilitation nursing interventions will be crucial in ensuring our patients receive the highest level of care possible.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver evidence-based care to patients across the continuum of rehabilitation
* Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective care plans
* Conduct thorough assessments and reassessments to identify patient needs and adjust care plans accordingly
* Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and ordered by registered nurses
* Provide education and support to patients and their families on disease management, medication use, and self-care strategies

Requirements:
To be considered for this role, applicants must have a graduate degree from an accredited Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse program, current state licensure as a Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse, and CPR/BCLS certification. ACLS certification is preferred. Minimum six months of Medical/Surgical experience in an acute care setting is also desired.
