Job Summary

We are seeking highly qualified candidates for tenure-track/tenured faculty positions in Cybersecurity Engineering at the School of Computer and Cyber Sciences at Augusta University. The selected candidates will demonstrate the potential for sustained research excellence as well as a commitment to quality in undergraduate and graduate education.

Responsibilities
  • Teaching: 60% - Teach classes during the academic year as assigned by the Dean, to include all of the duties and obligations expected of a college professor.
  • Research: 30% - Persistent scholarship leading to national/international recognition and impact.
  • Service: 10% - Service to the School of Computer and Cyber Sciences and Augusta University as requested by the Dean, service to the profession, including local, regional, and national/international leadership within the discipline.
Required Qualifications
  • PhD in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Cybersecurity.
  • Assistant Professor - this rank requires a doctoral degree in computer science, information systems, cybersecurity, computer engineering or related disciplines.
  • Associate Professor - this rank requires a doctoral degree in computer science, information systems, cybersecurity, computer engineering or related disciplines. At least five years at the rank of Assistant Professor or comparable training, background, and experience are required.
  • Professor - this rank requires a doctoral degree in computer science, information systems, cybersecurity, computer engineering or related disciplines. At least five years at the rank of Associate Professor or comparable training, background, and experience are required.
Benefits

This position is academic year based and typically works August through May, depending on dates outlined in offer letter and yearly contract. The intended work commitment or full-time equivalent (FTE) for this position is 1.0.
