Key Responsibilities
  • Database Administration: You will be responsible for administering our MySQL databases, ensuring they are running smoothly and efficiently.
  • Automation and Tooling: You will design and develop automation and self-service tooling to enhance developer velocity and improve our database infrastructure.
  • Replication and Backup: You will implement replication technologies and backups to prevent data loss and ensure business continuity.
  • Database Architecture: You will work on improving and developing our distributed database architecture in both Postgres and MySQL.
  • Recovery and Deployment: You will implement automation and processes to improve recovery time and deployment processes.

  • Scripting and Automation: You should be proficient in writing scripts and have experience with Python, Bash, Ruby, or Perl.
  • Configuration Management: You should have experience with a configuration management system like Puppet, Chef, or Salt.
  • Communication Skills: You should be proficient in communicating technical details using English, both verbally and written.
  • Team Player: You should be a team player and thrive in a tightly knitted team where everyone shares a common goal.
  • Cloud Experience: You should have experience with GCP and/or AWS.
