Position Summary: ARA is on the lookout for a dynamic and experienced Principal Technologist in Quantum Technology. This role is pivotal in shaping our vision to establish a robust business line focused on quantum technology solutions that address critical national issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the expansion of business sectors related to Quantum Sensing and Quantum Inspired Algorithms, tackling significant national challenges.
  • Lead the preparation and submission of proposals, RFIs, and RFPs, while spearheading business development initiatives.
  • Formulate and implement a growth strategy in system design, algorithm development, and hardware design for modeling and simulation applications, as well as quantum sensing.
  • Establish and execute a comprehensive annual plan aimed at developing a quantum technology portfolio with a substantial revenue target.
  • Collaborate with a talented team of mathematicians, physicists, RF engineers, and computer scientists to address complex, large-scale problems in an innovative field.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in Physics, Mathematics, or Engineering, with a specialization in quantum computing or algorithms.
  • Extensive experience in developing technologies and solutions for quantum applications.
  • Proven track record in business development within the quantum technology sector.
  • Experience in crafting and executing business strategies for government clients.
  • Deep expertise in at least one area: Quantum Algorithms, Quantum Hardware, or Quantum Optimization.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present technical information clearly.
  • Ability to work independently and manage project timelines effectively.
  • Willingness to travel as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active security clearance with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information.
  • Familiarity with electromagnetic warfare applications.
  • Experience in developing solutions that utilize AI/ML technologies.
  • Knowledge of computational techniques, including but not limited to wargaming, quantum computing, and computational electromagnetics.
