Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pharmacist to join our team at Walgreens. As a key member of our pharmacy staff, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and promoting healthy outcomes in our communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert pharmacy consulting services to patients, addressing their medication needs and concerns with empathy and understanding.
  • Offer preventive and clinical healthcare services, including immunizations, diagnostic testing, and patient outcomes services, to promote healthy lifestyles and disease prevention.
  • Ensure the proper compounding, dispensation, review, and verification of prescribed medications within regulatory guidelines and company policies.
  • Support the efficient workflow of the pharmacy and assist the pharmacy manager in identifying ways to optimize pharmacy financials, inventory management, and patient experience.
  • Engage patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services, demonstrating a commitment to empathy and inclusivity.
  • Participate in community outreach activities to promote the pharmacy business, enhance growth opportunities, and provide more joyful lives through better health.
  • Collaborate with the pharmacy manager to analyze performance data, including pharmacy financials, customer service, and implementation of procedures for pharmacy asset protection and inventory management.
  • Maintain current knowledge and required licensing/credentialing/certification as a pharmacist, staying up-to-date on developments in retail and management to enhance performance.
Requirements
  • BS in Pharmacy or Pharmacist Degree from an accredited educational institution.
  • At least 1 year experience as a pharmacist in a retail setting, including prescription filling and verification, records and legal compliance, pharmacy operations, pharmacy software and technology systems, and insurance.
