About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Medical Surgical Unit on a full-time day shift schedule. As a Medical Surgical Nurse (RN) at UHS, you will have the opportunity to provide safe and high-quality care to our patients in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, identifying psychosocial, spiritual, emotional, population-specific, and diversity needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans of care, integrating direct and indirect patient care activities related to diagnosis and co-morbidities.
  • Coordinate the implementation of interdisciplinary plans of care, developing goals, treatment plans, and discharge plans that meet individual patient/family needs.
  • Consistently complete hourly rounds, strengthening nurse communication, improving safety, and anticipating patient needs.
  • Collaborate with patients' designated care partners to meet educational, physical, psychological, and spiritual needs.
  • Utilize effective communication practices, minimizing risks associated with handoffs among providers and across transitions in care.
