RN - Hepatology and Gastroenterology Specialist

Cleveland Clinic is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Gastroenterology and Hepatology Unit. As a member of our team, you will provide exceptional patient care and work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care to patients with complex gastrointestinal and liver disorders
- Implement, monitor, evaluate, update, and revise patient care plans to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Monitor, record, document, and communicate patients' conditions to ensure seamless care coordination
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments, and note and carry out physician and nursing orders
- Assess and coordinate patients' discharge needs to ensure a smooth transition to home or other care settings
- Educate patients and their families on disease management, treatment options, and self-care techniques
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- One year of current acute care RN experience in a hospital setting
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)

Physical RequirementsThis role requires full range of body motion, including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination. The ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time is also required. Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids is a potential risk of this role.
