Job OverviewWe are seeking an experienced ERP Manager/Production Planner with a strong background in implementing and managing ERP systems within a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for defining methodologies, training users, managing resources, and optimizing ERP systems. Additionally, the role involves planning production activities, managing material requirements, and ensuring efficient production workflows.
Key Responsibilities:- ERP Management: Lead the implementation of ERP systems, ensuring they meet various departmental requirements.
- ERP Implementation: Define and document methodologies for ERP system usage across the company.
- Training: Train internal users on ERP methods and operations.
- Consultant Management: Define necessary resources from external consultants and manage their activities.
- Engineering Masters Development: Develop Engineering Masters for current and future products.
- Continuous Improvement: Investigate opportunities for and implement the continued growth and optimization of the ERP system.
- Database Management: Oversee ERP databases, including those related to employees, warehousing, outside service providers, and costing.
- Report Development: Develop reports using tools such as Gupta Report Builder, SQL Server Report Builder, or similar software.
- Automation: Develop scripts to automate processes within the ERP system.
- Production Planning: Monitor material requirements and usage, and communicate any shortages to the Purchasing Department.
- Work Order Management: Review, modify, and release customer-linked work orders to production departments.
- Inventory Management: Generate, review, and release work orders for in-house manufactured components.
- ERP System Usage Verification: Ensure proper usage of the Visual Manufacturing ERP system by production and office personnel.
- Process Optimization: Modify work orders and processes as needed to enhance production efficiency.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in ERP system implementation and management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Infor Visual Manufacturing is a plus. Experience with report-building tools such as Gupta Report Builder, SQL Server Report Builder, and scripting languages for automation.
- Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on process improvement.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage external consultants.
