Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team at a school in the Danbury, TX area. The successful candidate will assess and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders, create individualized treatment plans, and educate and train families and caregivers.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and diagnoses of speech, language, and communication disorders.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address each patient's unique needs.
  • Educate patients and their families about speech disorders, their causes, and effective management techniques.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress.
  • Provide direct therapy to students in individual or group settings.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of patient conditions, treatment plans, therapy sessions, and progress.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and provide recommendations for student support.
  • Stay updated on the latest research and best practices in speech-language pathology.
  • Supervise and provide guidance to speech therapy assistants as needed.
  • Engage in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in the field.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a speech-language pathology setting.
  • Experience working in a school setting as an SLP is preferred.
  • Must have a master's degree in Speech Language Pathology.
  • Full accreditation (CCC) is preferred.
  • Must be in at least the Clinical Fellowship Year.
