Job Summary

This position is responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems, control systems, and process instrumentation throughout the facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical theory, PLC programming, and HMI systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and terminate electrical systems, including wiring, circuit breakers, and fuses
  • Perform routine and emergency maintenance on electrical distribution systems, digital and analog control systems, PLC systems and networks, pneumatic systems, transducers, sensors, and other plant electrical devices
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, electronic, mechanical, and pneumatic components and systems to determine appropriate resolution for return to service
  • Perform periodic inspections, testing, adjustments, calibrations, and servicing activities necessary to maintain electrical and control systems in peak operating conditions
Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED required; BS in electrical, mechanical, or computer engineering preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in PLC and HMI programming; Allen Bradley PanelView software and hardware experience a plus
  • Strong understanding of electrical theory, including AC and DC electrical theory, motor control, and computer networks
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment, set priorities, and meet deadlines
  • Ability to read and create electrical prints and control schematics
Working Conditions

This role will be a 2-2-3 pattern on days, 6 am - 6:30 pm. Some flexibility is needed. The ideal candidate will be able to stand and work for long periods of time (12) hours and lift a minimum 30-50 pounds frequently and push/pull pallet jacks and lifts with heavy loads.
