About the Role

This position is responsible for the repair, maintenance, and installation of plant electrical equipment, requiring a strong working knowledge of electrical standards, NEC code, and related technologies. The incumbent must be able to estimate material requirements, prepare requisitions, and reports, as well as work effectively with other plant personnel to resolve problems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install electrical equipment, conductors, instrumentation, lighting, and conduit in accordance with the National Electric Code.
  • Troubleshoot electrical problems using a systematic and logical approach to determine causes and necessary repairs.
  • Document work and track parts used through the SAP system.
  • Collaborate with other plant personnel to resolve issues not directly related to electrical systems.
  • Operate mobile equipment safely and within plant guidelines.
  • Participate in training and contribute to the development of skills and knowledge necessary for the position.
  • Occasionally oversee contractors as needed.
  • Respond to call-outs during non-work hours as required.
  • Estimate material requirements and prepare requisitions and reports.
  • Read and work from schematics and detailed instructions.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Requirements

Education
High School diploma/GED
Additional Education Preferred
Associate's Degree
Field of Study
Electrical Technology
Work Experience
Minimum 3 years' experience in the electrical field, preferably in the cement manufacturing or related industry.
