Job Title: Recreation Therapist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Recreation Therapist to join our team at Simple Steps LLC. As a Recreation Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping our Veterans with neurological disorders, physical disabilities, and traumatic brain injuries to lead more rewarding lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement client care plans to meet the unique needs of each Veteran
  • Provide high-quality home and community services to support Veterans in achieving their goals
  • Collaborate with Case Managers and family members to ensure effective support and care
  • Document client progress and provide timely data for generating accurate invoices
  • Travel to clients' homes and transport clients during visits as needed

Requirements:

  • Minimum of Bachelor's Level Degree in Therapeutic Recreation, Recreation Administration, or related field
  • Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) certification
  • Experience working with physical and cognitive impairments/disabilities, traumatic brain injuries, and post-traumatic stress disorder
  • Valid driver's license and agency-required auto liability insurance
  • Ability to communicate effectively with health care professionals, clients, and families
