Job Title: Recreation Therapist

Simple Steps LLC is seeking a highly skilled Recreation Therapist to join our team in the Alice, TX area. As a Recreation Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping our Veterans with neurological disorders, physical disabilities, and traumatic brain injuries lead more rewarding lives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement high-quality client care plans to meet the unique needs of our Veterans.
  • Provide dynamic social, recreational, wellness, educational, and individualized life skills training and activities in the home and community.
  • Collaborate with Case Managers and family members to ensure seamless care and support.
  • Communicate effectively with health care professionals, clients, families, and the general public through verbal and written communication.
  • Track SMART goals and progress through weekly documentation using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe Reader.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation, Recreation Administration, Leisure Studies, or a related field.
  • CTRS certification.
  • Experience working with physical and cognitive impairments/disabilities, traumatic brain injury, and post-traumatic stress disorder.
  • Valid driver's license and agency-required auto liability insurance.
  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel to client homes.
