Job Title: Undergraduate Advisor

Join the University of California, Santa Barbara as an Undergraduate Advisor and play a vital role in supporting the academic success of our students. As a key member of the Computer Science Department, you will work closely with students, faculty, and staff to provide guidance and support in achieving their academic goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Advise students on academic matters, including course selection, degree requirements, and academic policies.
  • Monitor student progress and provide support to ensure timely completion of degree requirements.
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to develop and implement academic programs and services.
  • Provide guidance on career development and job search strategies.
  • Participate in departmental and university-wide initiatives to promote student success and retention.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Knowledge of university policies and procedures.
