Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Mammography Coordinator Assistant to join our team at Advocate Health. In this role, you will be responsible for tracking and reviewing breast imaging reports, reviewing discrepancies with radiologists, and entering recommendations and follow-up information into the Breast Care Summary within EPIC.

Key Responsibilities
  • Track and review each breast imaging report for accuracy
  • Review discrepancies with radiologists and enter recommendations and follow-up information into the Breast Care Summary
  • Review pathology results and malignant staging information for breast biopsy procedures
  • Transcribe results into the patients Breast Care Summary
  • Contact patients to schedule additional views, technical repeats, and imaging-guided biopsies
  • Generate daily and weekly reports for review and follow-up
  • Perform continuous monitoring of outstanding patients to schedule 6-month follow-up, additional imaging, MRI, and biopsy recommendations
  • Answer and screen telephone calls from patients and insurance companies
  • Send certified letters as required by Radiology Services policies
Requirements
  • High School Graduate
  • Typically requires two years of experience in customer service, scheduling, and/or administrative support duties
  • Demonstrate knowledge of medical terminology
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficient problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to effectively communicate (written and verbal), build rapport, and relate to all people
Working Conditions

Exposed to a normal office environment. Must have functional speech, vision, and hearing. Must be able to sit for long periods of time. Must be able to lift up to 10 lbs.
